The unknown happiness experienced by oneself which cannot be
explained or expressed in words.
That happiness is being experienced by one’s
words or his/her action. This is known as Motivation.
Everyone may think at once, “if anyone may have to motivate
me”. Sometimes there will be our loving ones to motivate us. Though they can
motivate us, it is WE who should be motivated. So, self-motivation is something
more than that of any other motivation. It will give a double confidence to
move forward with our own strategies.
- Keep a diary to express your feelings: A few of us have a habit of keeping a diary to enter our feelings and thoughts. Similarly you can keep a diary separately to write your motivational quotes, positive attitudes and feelings. Positivity is important to build confidence.
- Motivational quotes: You can paste motivational quotes of successful people in your bed room or the place in which you like or you can create your own.
- Hobbies: If you do your favorite activity, connect that with motivation. For instance, if you are interested in reading books, select the books that motivate you as many as possible. If you are interested to listen songs, listen to the song that has inspiring lines.
- Evaluate your deeds through self-reflexivity: Analysis of what you have done and how will it to be seen by others , i.e., self-reflexivity. Evaluate yourself . congratulate yourself for good things, this will increase your confidence level and teach yourself to never repeat the bad things or mistakes.
- Avoid unnecessary comparisons between other people-The tendency to compare our talents or qualities with other is somehow common among people. Actually, we should compare, compete with ourselves than others. There is no problem in comparing YOU with yesterday's YOU as well as today's YOU. This comparison helps you to improve yourself by doing analysis o your activities and the level of development.
- Reward yourself for small improvement- Waiting for others approval is not a right thing to expect. On the path of improvement as an expectation from yourself, You can be the most rewarder to yourself. Be frank to yourself to analyze and realize your small-small improvements. Appreciate yourself. Write them down in your Diary/Journal.
